Spring forming processing, low-temperature heat treatment possible! Piano wire for springs with copper plating using an electroplating method.
"Macguire CP" is a high-strength copper-plated piano wire developed primarily as a spring material requiring conductivity, featuring excellent corrosion resistance, superior coiling properties, and spring characteristics.
Since copper plating is unnecessary after spring forming, it eliminates concerns associated with post-plating, such as spring entanglement, spark marks, hydrogen embrittlement, uneven plating around the coating, and poor plating in spring contact areas.
【Features】
■ Equivalent level to spring phosphor bronze wire
■ No deterioration in conductivity even if the copper-plated surface discolors due to oxidation
■ Possesses very excellent coiling properties unique to copper plating and also excels in soldering performance
■ Even if the copper-plated surface discolors due to oxidation, the corrosion resistance against the base steel can sufficiently withstand 96 hours in a salt spray test, demonstrating high corrosion resistance.
